Exports to the US market

Export volume: in 2018 1-12, the total value of textiles and garments exports amounted to US $12 billion 970 million, up 6% from the same period of the previous year. The main export items were garments and clothing, with an export value of US $12 billion 220 million, accounting for 94% of the total export value, followed by miscellaneous products, with an export value of US $510 million, accounting for 4% of the total export value.

Except for yarn, the export value of all products was higher than that of the same period of the previous year. The largest growth rate was fiber products, accounting for 164%, while garments and clothing grew by 6%.

Export volume: yarn and miscellaneous exports declined in the 1-12 months of 2018 compared with the same period last year, and fiber and fabric grew.

Exports were mainly garments and apparel products, with an export volume of 3 billion 730 million square meters, accounting for 4% growth.

The average unit price of exports: the average unit price of fiber, cloth and miscellaneous items increased by 17%, 4% and 21% compared with the same period of the previous year, while the yarn was flat.

The average unit price of exported garments and clothing products increased from $3.21 per square metre in the previous year to US $3.28, up 2%.

Export to EU market

Export volume: in 2018 1-12, the total value of textiles and garments exports amounted to US $4 billion 640 million, up 10% from the same period of the previous year. The main export items were garments and clothing, with an export value of US $4 billion 170 million, accounting for 90% of the total export value, followed by miscellaneous products, with an export value of US $280 million, accounting for 6% of the total export value.

The export value of all products was higher than that of the same period of the previous year, with the largest growth rate being 33%, while garments and clothing grew by 10%.

Export volume: 1-12 months in 2018, the total export volume of textiles and garments reached 307 thousand tonnes, up 4% from the same period of the previous year.

The export volume of garments and garments is 170 thousand tonnes, which is equivalent to the same period in the previous year, accounting for 55% of the total export volume.

The average unit price of export: the average unit price of fiber, yarn and miscellaneous items increased by 22%, 12% and 8% respectively compared with the same period of the previous year, and the average unit price of cloth decreased by 12%.

The average unit price of garments and clothing exported from the previous year increased from $22.31 per kilogram in the previous year to US $24.56, up 10%.
