Multi Stakeholder Forum On "Green Manufacturing And Environmental Governance" Held In Shengze

China Textile Industry Federation invited the United Nations Environment Agency, the Ministry of national environmental protection, the ZDHC (hazardous chemicals Zero Discharge organization) and its member brands to convene a multi stakeholder Forum on "green manufacturing and environmental governance" in Shengze textile industrial cluster in Wujiang high tech Zone (Sheng Zezhen), in order to promote the green manufacturing of Shengze enterprises.

To explore the way of international cooperation and development of Shengze textile industrial clusters, and to promote cooperation between government, textile industrial clusters and international supply chains.

Fan Jianlong, member of the Standing Committee of the District Committee and Secretary of the Party committee of Shengze Town, attended the forum.

Multi stakeholder discussions revolve around the development and planning of textile industry in Shengze, environmental protection policies and governance measures, environmental protection procurement policies of international brands, upgrading of environmental governance in Shengze textile enterprises, promotion of quality upgrading of industrial clusters and green manufacturing industry in China textile industry, and Shengze's industrial policy supporting international supply chain.

The possibility of development is discussed.

Fan Jianlong said that China Textile Industry Federation is very welcome to offer advice and suggestions for the future development trend of environmental protection of Shengze textile industrial cluster, so as to promote the win-win situation of economic development and environmental protection in Shengze.

Yan Yan, deputy director of China Textile Information Center, said that the full implementation of green manufacturing is an inevitable choice for China's textile industry in deep adjustment. It is an inevitable choice for Shengze to adapt itself to the new normal and move towards the middle and high-end level. Many enterprises in Shengze have been insisting on self improvement and improvement. Promoting green manufacturing is of great significance for the development of the textile industry.

Kevin, an official from the United Nations Environment Agency, said he hoped that through this forum, the concept of green manufacturing could be penetrated into the entire supply chain of the textile industry to minimize the pollution caused by chemicals to the environment.
