The Ministry of knowledge economy of Korea announced the provisional import and export statistics in February this year, with an export volume of US $38 billion 960 million, an increase of 17.9% compared with the same month last year, with an import value of US $36 billion 110 million, an increase of 16.3% over the same month last year.

The surplus is 2 billion 850 million dollars.


The total export volume from 1 to February was $83 billion 640 million, an increase of 31.1% over the same period last year, and imports of $77 billion 880 million, an increase of 24.4% over the same period last year.

The surplus is 5 billion 760 million dollars.


In February, the 13 major export items, except computers, ships and liquid crystal displays, declined by 27.7%, 7.6%, and 9% respectively. The rest were positive growth, 61% of petroleum products, 41.1% of vehicle components, and 41.1% of general exports.

Mechanics

38.2%, iron and steel products 36.4%, fiber products 26.3%, petrochemical 24.2%, automobile 23.8%, household appliances 18.8%, semiconductor 8.7%, wireless communication machine 1.8%.


Exports to central and South America and Oceania declined by 33.6% and 48.6% respectively in the main export areas. The remaining areas were growth, 13.2% growth in mainland China, 41.5% growth in the US, 27.3% growth in Japan, 5.3% growth in EU, 30% growth in ASEAN, 19.8% growth in the Middle East.
