In 2007The European Union Imported About 50% Of Its Total Imports From China.

 

On May 31st, the European footwear Federation held a meeting in Marche, Italy, according to the European Bureau of statistics. In 2007, the import of footwear (leather shoes and synthetic shoes) reached 11 billion 100 million euros in the EU countries, while the import volume of synthetic shoe imports decreased by 8.8% compared with the same period last year, but imports increased by 7.3%, reaching 2 billion 300 million pairs.

Among them, 1 billion 700 million pairs of imports from China increased by 13.9% compared with the same period last year, and imports reached 5 billion 200 million euros, down 1.1% from the same period last year.

The import of Chinese shoes basically accounts for half of the total imports of EU shoes.
